Snowdonia Caravan Holidays

Snowdonia or Eryri as its known in Welsh was made the first of 3 National Parks in north west Wales in 1951. Although a mountainous region of 823 square miles in area. it is thought around 26,000 people live in the National Park itself and is one of the most visited throughout the year. The park has many trails ideal for walking and has over 100 lakes and a vast array of wildlife. With many caravan parks in or around Snowdonia it is very popular for caravan holidays.

The most popular place to visit in Snowdonia is Snowdon which is home to the Snowdon mountain Railway, a historic railway which takes you to the summit of the highest mountain in Wales, Mount Snowdon (1,085 metres or 3,560 ft above sea level) where you can experience panoramic views across the sea to Ireland.
