Scarborough Caravan Holidays

Scarborough is a seaside town on the North East coast of England and has been a popular holiday destination for families for over 400 years. With a choice of holiday parks nearby it is very popular for caravan holidays.

Scarborough is made up of 2 bays split by headland on which lies the 12th century Scarborough castle a former medieval Royal Fortress with stunning panoramic views. The South Bay is the most popular of the 2 sandy beached bays where you can enjoy watching the fishermen bring in their catch of the day on the harbour or take a boat ride along the coast. Enjoy time in one of the many amusement arcades or funfair rides. There is a large choice of restaurants, pubs, cafes, ice cream parlours or indulge in the fresh shellfish stalls or everyone’s favourite fish and chips. One of the most popular attractions is the Victorian Central Tramway Funicular, one of five which opened in 1880 and is a link to the town centre.

The North Bay is quieter with beach huts. Located behind the North Bay is Peasholm Park where you can spend hours exploring the Japanese Gardens, pedaloes on the lake or annual music festivals and miniature railway. For budding geologists there is the Rotunda Museum of Geology.
In the local area you have the Sea Life Sanctuary, Alpamare Waterpark, Sky Trail Adventure, Go Ape or for the very adventurous Scarborough Surf School is in Cayton bay.
