Great Yarmouth Caravan Holidays

Great Yarmouth is a popular seaside resort on the coast of Norfolk and is a good choice for caravan holidays with a selection of holiday parks nearby.

The town was originally a major fishing port and tourists can learn about the fishing heritage at the Time and Tide, a musuem within a converted Victorian herring curing works.
Another way to connect to the town’s culture is to see its architecture and historical monuments such as the impressive Great Yarmouth Minister or Nelson’s Monument.
In addition to its renowned 15 mile stretch of beach known as the ‘Golden Mile’, Great Yarmouth has two piers including the Britannia Pier, a grade II listed pier, which boasts one of the few remaining pier theatres in Britain located at the end.

There are many local attractions including the Thrigby Wildlife Gardens, Sea Life Centre, and The Pleasure Beach amusement park. One of the most unique places to visit is the Merryvale Model Village, a minitaure village with model railway set in acre of landcsaped gardens.
Along the seafront until Heritage Quarter there is a range of tea rooms as well as pubs and fish and chip shops; meanwhile, the town centre has range of restaurants, bars, and nightclubs, making Great Yarmouth ideal for going out day and night.

A mile north of the town is Great Yarmouth Racecourse, and there are many small villages and nearby coastal towns in close proxitmity such as Gorleston-on-Sea with its cliff-top views, and sandy bay.
